Two Community Works’ afterschool programs will now be serving dinner through a partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana. The Kids Café program will serve healthy dinners throughout the duration of the afterschool programs at ARISE Academy and the International School of Louisiana. Kids Café is a free program that provides students with a well balanced dinner featuring such meals as beef and bean burrito with broccoli and Mexican rice and creamed chicken, steamed brown rice, and glazed sweet potatoes. All students are also given a roll, a piece of fruit and milk to keep the meals well balanced. Community Works would like to thank Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana for thier support of our amazing afterschool programs.
